Not only Leonardo Da Vinci - the people who make Monalisa picture - but we can do it too. How to make it ? Let's check it out and ready for draw ! *Don't forget pencil, eraser and some paper :)
STEP 1.
The beginning steps are going to be very simple. All you will need to do is first draw a circle for Mona Lisa's head shape and then add the facial guidelines. Next draw a neck line and attach it to the torso guideline shape.STEP 2.
Use the facial guidelines to lightly sketch out the shape of her piercing eyes. Her eyes are not fully opened which means that her eyelids are also showing. Draw her eyeballs and shade in the pupils as you see here. You will also need to sketch out the shape of her nose and of course draw Mona Lisa's smile.STEP 3.
Sketch out the shape of her face which is kind of oblong. She is also seen with a slight chin overlap as you can see. Once the shape of her face is sketched out you can start lightly sketching out her long straight hair on the left hand side. Next sketch out the front hair line as well as the hair line on the right side. Lastly sketch the shape of her neck.STEP 4.
Your sketch should start to become more difficult as you progress to future steps. Just take your time and follow the steps. You will finish off most of Mona Lisa's hair style as you see here. Be sure to sketch out the length and the flow of her style. Once that is complete you can start sketching in some shading around the outer parts of her eyes and then beneath her nose. Also sketch out the beginning lines for her clothes.STEP 5.
You are almost done with this sketch. This step is pretty easy, all you have to do is sketch out the lining for her shawl. Be sure to sketch in creases and definition on both sides.STEP 6.
You will now begin all the shading that needs to be done in order to create an epic sketch. But before you do that you have to start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one. Start with the face and along side other nose and then her eyes. Define her cheeks and her famous smile. Add some shadowing under her chin and along her shoulders as seen here.STEP 7.
Here is what your Mona Lisa looks like when you are done. You can color her in if you like. I hope you guys liked this lesson on "how to draw the Mona Lisa step by step".
